| Linda Joyce was born on Christmas Eve in
Biloxi, Mississippi. Courtesy of the United States Air
Force, she and her family lived coast to coast in the U.S.
and spent four years in Japan. Her vagabond childhood
afforded her a variety of travel opportunities. Her parents
encouraged her to take advantage of those valuable
educational experiences.
Linda penned her first manuscript while living in Japan.
Her classmates lined up at recess to read her latest pages.
During high school in Florida, a literary magazine published
her poetry. She worked as a reporter and learned newspaper
design and layout while in college.
A graduate of the University of Florida, Linda holds a
Bachelor of Science in Management. After college, she took a
position as a claims manager, and during her career, she
earned her Senior Claims Law Associate professional
designation and completed her Six Sigma Green Belt.
Life experiences; Over the years, Linda has taken flying
lessons, worked as a hairdresser, and was part-owner of a
steakhouse, where she learned to grill steaks during a
Saturday night rush.
Now, she writes. Linda Joyce is an award-winning
professional writer.
Linda and her husband, Don, a fifth generation Floridian,
now live in Kansas with their four-legged boys, General
Beauregard, Gentleman Jack and Masterpiece Renoir. Linda and
Don love college football, boiled peanuts, any and all
seafood, and grits with eggs. They spend many weekends RVing,
and at last count, they’ve have traveled to twenty-one
states with “the boys.”
