Our 2010 Show Me The Spark! contest details have been
announced. Entries may be submitted any time before August 31,
2010. This year, our contest is open to published and
unpublished authors, and RWA and non-RWA members alike. Please

February 2010
Our 2010 program schedule is live! Please see the above link
for programs to get details on the fun and exciting things we'll be
doing this year. Welcome back members, Cheryl Rabin and
Barbara Herrin, we're so very glad to see you!
January 2010
We welcome the new year with new members. HeRA would like to
extend a hearty welcome to new members -- Gretchen Jones, Amanda
Buxton, Patricia Pace, Denise Swank and Linda Miller. This
year we're excited about our programs, our endeavors with an online
class later this year, a brand new logo, and an awards program for
the hard work our members do, both within the chapter and within
their writing pursuits.
December 2009
HeRA held the annual celebration for our authors and members -- a
holiday gathering for fun, kudos and white elephant gifts. We
are very proud to announce that member Linda Joyce received our
Francis Maxin service award for commendable service to the
chapter. Way to go Linda!!
Further, we announced our 2010 officers:

November 2009
HeRA is undergoing some new changes to better accommodate our
authors needs and to reward them for their hard-work both within the
chapter and within their writing careers. November will see
the launching of a new pin program and some additional things like a
new logo for the chapter, and more extensive networking capabilities
for our long-distance members. Additionally, the HeRA officers
will be selected for the 2010 year.

The finalists for our Ahh! Romance contest have been announced, and
are now in the hands of our final round judges. Please send

HeRA is anxious to announce our first-ever published author contest
is now open for entries. This contest is open to any
RWA Member, or non-member, published in book-length fiction, through
any non-vanity, non-subsidy publishing house. Enter the first
25 pages of your not contracted manuscript and see who makes us say
"Ahh! Romance..." See our Contest page for

HeRA is pleased to announce our 2009 Show Me The
Spark! Contest is underway. We've received many wonderful
entries and are enthusiastic about our first-round judging.
